More Than an Address, Anthem Feels Like Home
Building on the success of its Anthem communities in Arizona, Del Webb Corp. acquired 5,000 acres in west Henderson’s higher elevation and developed the Anthem master-planned community in 1998. A dramatic, cascading waterfall at the entrance lets you know you’ve arrived at Anthem by Del Webb.
Accessible from Interstate 15 and the 215 Beltway, Anthem offers gorgeous views of the Strip and Las Vegas Valley from the south, especially as you climb the landscaped parkway toward Anthem Country Club.
The community’s centerpiece is Anthem Country Club with its championship golf course designed by Hale Irwin and Keith Foster and a 70,000-square-foot clubhouse. Anthem club has a fitness center with personal trainers, billiards lounge, computer and crafts rooms, tennis courts, spa and swimming pool. The clubhouse has become a popular spot for weddings and receptions. Anthem boasts some of the most glamorous homes in Las Vegas, many of which have been featured in Street of Dreams.
Del Webb added Sun City Anthem to its Las Vegas portfolio of age-restricted communities that include Sun City Summerlin, Sun City MacDonald Ranch, and Sun City Aliante.
The Newest addition is The Club at Madeira Canyon. Featuring a beautiful clubhouse for exclusive use by homeowners in private gated community within Anthem. The club features a fitness center, Club M Kids Club, pool and barbecue area, tennis and basketball courts.
Anthem runs the spectrum from first-time family homes in Coventry to luxurious custom homes built by Pulte Homes and Lennar in Anthem Highlands and Anthem Country Club. Prices start around $160,000 for a two-bedroom, 1,150-square-foot home, though the median home price is above $300,000. The median price of a three-bedroom home increased from $227,000 two years ago to $331,000 today.
The primary public schools for Anthem are Lamping Elementary and Wallin Elementary, Del Webb Middle School and Coronado High School. The private Henderson International School is also in this area.
